Did your fuel pump stop working?

Why did your fuel pump stop working?

Due to running the vehicle out of gas will cause the little inner motor to over heat in the fuel pump. The fuel is the cooling system that keeps the fuel pump from overheating. Running out of gas a few times takes the life away from the pump. Running your gas down to the last ¼ of a gallon can also get the fuel pump hot. When you drive and get gas to fill up the tank, you are putting fuel in that is almost always 20 to 30 deg cooler then the fuel in the tank. Like ice to the pump, it will stop working. So just keep fuel in the tank just over 1/8 of tank and that will help keep your fuel pump going longer.

Great Shop! I needed a last minute inspection for a car I was buying and the guys helped me and were very insightful. I would recommend using them for any per-inspection service for sure in the future. Ask for Mario He's very helpful.
